  • You want to build a regular breathwork practice to help clear stuck emotions, connect deeply with yourself, and find your intuition

  • You’re looking for a way to eliminate emotional and physical blocks, stimulate energy and improve your self-connection while also bringing a sense of presence, relaxation and mental clarity

  • You’re working on overcoming self judgement and the critical voice so you can take up space, express your needs and honour your body

There are many benefits to a regular breathwork practice, some of them include:

  • Stress, anxiety and depression reduction: Deep breathing techniques like those found in BREATHE can help calm your nervous system and reduce stress levels.

  • Increased Oxygen Intake: By focusing on intentional breathing patterns, you can improve your oxygen intake, leading to enhanced mental clarity and physical well-being.

  • Emotional Release: Breathwork sessions provide a safe environment for you to explore and release pent-up emotions, promoting emotional healing and well-being.

  • Enhanced Self-Awareness: Practicing mindfulness can increase self-awareness, helping you understand their thoughts and emotions better without getting caught up in the judgements and stories

  • Improved Resilience: Regular Breathwork can boost resilience to stress and challenges, enabling individuals to navigate difficult situations with greater ease. (This is called widening your window of tolerance).

  • Mind-Body Connection: Deep breathing techniques in BREATHE help individuals connect with their bodies, promoting overall health and well-being. You’re releasing people pleasing behaviors and finding yourself again

FAQs

What Kind Of Breathwork Do You Teach?

There are many forms of breathwork - the ones taught in The Breathing Space by Space Breathwork are Integrative and Meditative breathwork. These trauma-informed practices teach self-directed, safe and consensual breathwork for self-empowered journeys.

Is Breathwork Right For Me?

Breathwork is safe for almost everyone WHEN you know that YOU are the one in control of how deep and how long you breathe. You will follow your own inner guidance, body and sensation to decide which breath pattern you use and which intensity feels good. If you’re pregnant or have another medical condition, breathe slowly and avoid activation (nose breathing practices and sticking to integrative breathwork journeys).

What’s Meditative Breathwork?

Meditative breathwork often last 60+ minutes and includes 8+ minutes of active breathing. Typically, these sessions involve a music playlist, guidance from a facilitator, 10+ min of dropping in, 30+ min of active breathing and 15+ min of integration at the end. These are great for deep dives and maintaining a connection to what’s present in the body.

Who shouldn’t do breathwork?

Breathwork can be adapted to suit almost anyone AND it can also activate some medical conditions that interact with blood pressure, state of consciousness or pregnancy. Please check with your doctor and read more about the Breathwork FAQ’s to determine if these practices are right for you.

What’s Integrative Breathwork?

Integrative breathwork involves anything with less than 8 minutes of active breathing and is designed to be used throughout your day. Integrative practices could be just taking a few breaths in-between meetings or taking 8 minutes to connect to your body and allow your breath to clear trapped emotions from your day. Great for exploring breath!

Mindset Work Versus Embodiment Work?

You cannot heal unconscious emotions, memories or behavioral patterns stuck in the body with the conscious mind. Mindset-based approaches like therapy work from the mind-> down to the body “top down” and only access what’s known.

Breathwork is a form of embodiment practice, which works from the body up to the mind “bottom up” approach to healing. This allows you to access + release unknown, stuck patterns.

Liz's patience and voice is so calming that one can easily get into a settled state so she can lead many through a path of self discovery.”

Shikha K.

“I came into this breathwork experience feeling pretty run down and left feeling like I'd reconnected with trust and a deeper well of energy.

I absolutely loved the meditative breathwork experience with Liz. She held such beautiful energetic presence that allowed me to fully relax into the experience.

Her voice, tone, cues, music were in harmony. The breathwork experience was truly what I needed.

Rebecca S.

“I felt safe and very relaxed. I felt like I connected with myself and released anxiety. The time seemed to go by quickly! I enjoyed it.”

Let’s BREATHE

“Breathwork provides us with a safe space to practice what we need in life - whether that is taking up space, using our voice, or listening to and responding to the needs and cues of your body. Breathwork allows us to integrate and explore without judgement.

You are always in control. Let your body lead the way, there’s no knowing exactly what will arise in a breathwork session, but you can be guaranteed that it will be whatever serves you best in this moment.”

New to breathwork?

Try it out for free.

Create more space in your life.

We all need more space:

space to feel,
space to heal,
safe space,
space to breathe
and space to just be.

A space to be without expectation or judgement.

A space where you can be fully yourself.

That is what The Breathing Space was designed to give you. It is here to teach you how to hold this space for yourself using breathwork.

Regularly practicing breathwork creates safety in your body.

It helps you feel safe being with yourself.

It gives you the space to process and release stuck energy and emotions.

It is from this place that you get to meet yourself. Not the self that shows up from the ego, or from the expectations of others (hello people pleasing!). But the self that exists within you already. This isn’t about changing yourself, it is about making space to witness all parts of you.
